Help our sanctuary. Support a Casetta cat.
Sponsorships help guaranteed food, care and protection for our cats all year round. You can sponsor a cat for yourself or as a gift to someone you love.
We use PayPal for our sponsorship programme and we have two payment options: monthly (€12/mo) or yearly (€144/single payment). We will send you a sponsorship certificate via email which will show all the info about the kitty you sponsored!
All the cats on this page are our “long term residents”: kitties that have been at The Casetta for many years and that have called it a home. They’re the stars of our sanctuary, and if you’re ever in Rome you can come and meet them and spend time with them and our volunteers.

Linus
Hi! My name is Linus and I’ve been at The Casetta since 2017, but my adventure began earlier, when two boys found me in the middle of the street after being hit by a car. They immediately took me to the vet: they discovered that I had suffered a head injury and as a result of the accident I became deaf. They took me to The Casetta where I’ve lived happily ever since, roaming around the sanctuary grounds and getting cuddles from visitors. Thank you with all my heart for your help! Linus.

Palla
Hi! My name is Palla and I’m 12. I was a house cat, then my owners decided to take me to a shelter because they didn’t like my personality (I didn’t like theirs either to be fair!). I was very wary of humans at first. Now, however, you can always find me at the sanctuary entrance to greet visitors and receive a few cuddles.. not too many though, ok?! I really like sleeping in the most unlikely places: the basin above the washing machine when the spin cycle is on at full speed is my favourite! Thank you for your help! Palla

Sibilla
Hi! My name is Sibilla and I’ve been at The Casetta since 2017. I was brought here by someone with a big heart that saw me in the street in distress with my two kittens. I was malnourished and always looking for food for my babies and everyday I risked my life crossing dangerous intersections to find something to eat. The Casetta gave me a second chance at life. My babies got adopted by loving families. I could have been adopted too but I truly feel loved and at home here. Thank you so much for your help. Sibilla

Lisetta
Hi! My name is Lisetta, I’m 10 years old. I was found in a park with my tail cut and in really bad shape. When I was brought to The Casetta, the volunteers immediately noticed that something was wrong with me: due to an accident, I couldn’t pee or poop on my own and that’s why to do those things I need help from my beloved humans. At The Casetta I feel at home: I love receiving attention and cuddles from the volunteers and all the visitors. Thank you so much for your help. Lisetta

Lapo
Hi! My name is Lapo, I’m 10 and I’m a resident of The Casetta since 2014. I was just a kitty when the volunteers found me abandoned in the park near the sanctuary. I grew up surrounded by the love of volunteers and that’s why I get along with humans really well! Not so much with other cats: I find some of my shelter-mates simply annoying! The vet has discovered that I have vitamin B deficiency, which at times cause me to limp: that’s why I often have to take vitamin B supplements. Thank you for your help. Lapo

Roma
Hi! I’m Roma and I’m beautiful 🙂 I’m 7 years old and I arrived at The Casetta when I was just a few months old. Unfortunately my little brother was very fragile and he didn’t make it. I, on the other hand, grew up here with my friends and the volunteers who have been pampering me ever since! You can always find me on the table where the volunteers prepare our food bowls: I stand guard and make sure that all the bowls are properly prepared and distributed 🙂 Thank you so much for your help. Roma

Otello
Hi! My name is Otello and I arrived at The Casetta in 2013. My story doesn’t have a good start: I had been hit by a car and left dying on the road, but a compassionate soul picked me up and took me to the sanctuary where they cared for with lots of love. Unfortunately, the vet had to remove one of my eye, but I didn’t make a fuss about it because I’m still extremely handsome! I spend my days roaming around the sanctuary grounds, and getting lots of attention and cuddles from visitors. Thank you for your help. Otello.

Epifanio
Hi! I am the legendary Epifanio, I’m 5 years old and I arrived at The Casetta in 2020, a few days before Christmas. I must have been a really nice Christmas gift for the sanctuary: I brought my affability and my 8 kg of love 🙂 Like my friend Lisetta, because of an accident, I need the vet to help me pee and poop (I’m not a fan but life is about compromises, right?!). I feel great here at the sanctuary: I receive cuddles from all the volunteers who love my funny faces and always take a thousand pictures of me! Thank you so much for your help. Epifanio

Nala
Hi! My name is Nala, I’m 9 years old, I’ve been at The Casetta since 2014 and I’m beautiful! I was found in a park by Anna, the founder of the sanctuary, together with my mother Lara and my sister Valentina. My sister and I were just two wild kittens and we grew up here free and happy. My mom Lara got adopted, but we really didn’t want to get caught or petted. Over time, I’ve learned to trust the volunteers of The Casetta: sometimes, when they deserve it, I even let them pet me! Thank you for your precious help. Nala.
